My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DIEZEL is a 10 year old neutered black male Lab who weighs 79 pounds. Diezel has been settling in his foster home. He has done well meeting the resident dogs and loves to explore the yard. He hangs out with the dogs when foster parents go to work and enjoy the visits from the dog walker. He is gentle with people and takes new situations slowly. He'll make an amazing companion. Diezel is a very gentle and loving dog. He is house trained and doesn't need to be crated. Diezel should go to a home with a fenced in yard as he has always had a fenced in yard. He enjoys exploring outside in the yard. Diezel knows the commands: sit, stay and down. He is good with other dogs. Diezel is good with dog savvy cats. From evaluator: Diezel is a very friendly boy. Due to him being blind, I went very slowly with him so I wouldn't scare him. He approached my dog cautiously and sniffed him and then we went for a short stroll. He is a big boy, but so sweet and gentle. Deizel is just starved for attention and gives you sweet kisses. Owner give up due to family not wanting to take care of him anymore now that he is blind. He is approved for kids 10+.

Update: Diezel is a handsome and gentle 10 year old boy. The first thing you may notice, is that he's blind. But he is a DOG FIRST, and blind SECOND. He's great with other dogs and cats, loves mealtimes, and treats, and napping on the couch, when his foster mom is not looking! Diezel needs a fenced in yard, because he loves to explore. He takes new situations slowly, but once he knows you, you'll get a lick on your hand from him. Give this boy a chance and Diezel will show you that he is a wonderful and devoted companion!
