Buster's Story...
Buster is a beautiful, scruffy boy who weighs about 13 pounds and is about 4 years old. He came to us from a hoarding/neglect situation. He was terrified when he came into our care, but he has made leaps and bounds of progress!! He is still shy and skittish towards new people and new situations, but starts to come out of his shell once he gets to know you. Buster's potential adopter will need to be patient with him while he warms up to them and his new home. He would prefer to go to a home with no children or older children. He does great with other dogs and with cats. Buster is being fostered in West TN and will be transported once his adoption is finalized. If you are interested in adding Buster to your family, go to www.goofyfootrescue.org to complete an online adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buster, a Southington Fox Terrier (Wirehaired)/Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Fox Terrier (Wirehaired)/Cairn Terrier for sale in Southington, or seeking a Fox Terrier (Wirehaired)/Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Southington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Fox Terrier (Wirehaired)/Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Fox Terrier (Wirehaired)/Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southington paves the way for another one to be saved.
