Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Reina is a 3 year old black and red female. She is in a foster home with other dogs but would probably prefer to be the queen of the house and be the only one. Due to her prey drive, she needs a home without small animals and that includes cats and dogs. She is great with children (is still young and sometimes excitable, so can accidentally knock down small children unintentionally). She is housebroken and crate trained however she occasionally shows signs of some kind of abuse from the past so a soft spoken family who is willing to continue her training using positive reinforcement would be best for her. She loves to play fetch (but not always willing to give it back!!) and her favorite toys are ones that squeak. She loves to sit on the top 1-2 steps of the pool, and washes her face too!! Her shots are up to date, spayed, microchipped.
She is on lamb and rice dog food as she's allergic to chicken.
We are accepting applications now at www.dbgsdrescue.org
(Applications must be fully completed and those without the signatures or home insurance information will not be followed up with)
Reina is located in a foster home in Orlando so potential adopters will be required to travel to that area for a meet and greet. Previous German Shepherd owners preferred but not required. Adoption fee is $250.
