KAYO's Story...
Kayo is a BAM dog again. He was adopted 4 years ago and is now being returned because the new baby in the house is allergic to him. HIs family is heart broken and so are we.

Read what his owner has to say about him: "This big boy is the sweetest dog ever! But, due to personal circumstances, we are faced with rehoming him. He is completely house trained. He's never had an accident in the house for the 4 years we have had him. He loves kids. He likes to play tag and wrestle with my kids and the neighbor kids. He loves to play in water, pool or hose or slip n slide. He loves it all! He is very laid back and easy going. He does get sore hips sometimes so he wouldn't make a good jogging buddy since extended vigorous activity aggravates it. He hardly ever barks. He gets along with all dogs he's ever met.

Kayo is about 8 years old, his adoption fee is $100. To make arrangements to meet him, call Larry or Cheri at 225.955.2893.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

KAYO, a Hurricane Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Doberman Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Doberman Pinscher for sale in Hurricane, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Doberman Pinscher dog from a breeder in Hurricane.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hurricane already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hurricane breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hurricane paves the way for another one to be saved.
