My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Benny (aka downtown)
He's young and playful, I spend a lot of time redirecting him to appropriate toys and removing things like my kid's toys or my foot. Lol.
Benny loves to play fetch and with his rope bone. He plays with my dog really well too, so he would do great with an active family or another dog.
I have a cat who hates me right now and has been in hiding. Benny has seen my cat a few times and barked. He wants to play and would do fine with proper introduction. My concern is since hes so playful right now my cat would not appreciate it.
He's crated during the day when we work and has never had a crate accident. He does bark a bit when we first leave. So apartment life may not be good right now for him.
At night we did crate him the first few days but after that he's been out and either slept on floor next to us or at foit of bed. He's such a good and sleeps upside down.
We are still working on potty training, but he's come such a long way. He's had 1 accident in the last 3 days. I just have to get him to tell me when he needs to potty now.
I can see Benny's ideal home as with someone who can spend time working with him, bring patient and understanding he is just a puppy. When you look in those eyes all I see is love and eagerness to please. He wants to play and when he's done he wants to cuddle with his head on a lap.
He is such a goof and falls off the couch when hes playing, he barks at the lawn decorations and wraps his arms around you like a hug.
He's Bassett height. No hair cut ever needed. But is a shedder. Benny is a great dog, but not recommended as a first time dog or for family with newborn just because of his training needs right now. he does love playing with my daughter and is very soft mouth with her. So no food aggression, but does show a little aggression if you mess with his bone...but that's not unusual and can be worked with.
