Facts about Muffin

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Orange Or Red Tabby
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Short
Muffin was returned in 2015 after being adopted from us 7 years ago as a kitten. Her adopter fell very ill, & family reached out to us to see if we could help. We gladly took her back as our adoption contract states. She is very shy & sweet & would make a great addition to a quiet, patient home. Her vaccines have been updated & her blood work came back great. We feel she would not do well being left in a Petsmart Adoption Center, so we are depending solely on social media to spread the word about Muffin.

Muffin is fostered in Cleveland. Transport could be arranged to areas as far south as Columbus to an approved adopter. An adoption application can be obtained by emailing us: midohioawl@yahoo.com

MAWL's cats are spayed/neutered, leukemia/FIV-tested, dewormed, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines. The cats we offer for adoption are usually the offspring of feral cats or house cats that have been abandoned by their former owners. Unless otherwise noted, our cats are available to inside homes only. We prefer to adopt our animals to residents of Ohio. An adoption donation of $75.00 helps to cover the veterinary fees

About Mid-Ohio Animal Welfare League

About Our Rescue Group...

Created in 2005, we are a non-profit volunteer-operated animal advocacy organization originally based in Mansfield, OH. Our director lives in the Cleveland-area. When able, we foster companions in our home. We believe all animals should be treated with compassion & respect. We advocate a vegan lifestyle.

Our mission is to protect and promote value and respect for all animals. We act as a voice for the voiceless creatures through advocacy and community education. Our main purpose is to provide affordable spay/neuter services to our community with the assistance of Rascal Unit neutermobile.

When able, we accept animals into our foster home-based rescue. Animals that enter our rescue are kept for as long as it takes to find forever homes - which can be a matter of a week to many months. We primarily pull from high-kill pounds/shelters. MAWL is an advocate of feral and stray cats and offers TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) services to Richland County as able.

As a recognized 501(c)3 non-profit organization, your donations are tax-deductible. We operate solely on donations, so please consider supporting our efforts.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not have a shelter. In order to meet any of our adoptable cats & dogs, we must have a completed adoption application before a "Meet & Greet" can be arranged. On occasion, we hold adoption events. It is best to view our Facebook page or contact us directly to see if any events are scheduled.

Please note in the biography where the foster is located. It is the responsibility of the potential adopter to travel to meet the companion - we unfortunately do not have the funds to travel outside of our hometowns for meet & greets.

Our Adoption Process...

We require an adoption application before we can consider a family for adoption. Our cat adoption fee is $75, which helps offset the vet care - sterilization, vaccines, deworming, FIV/Leukemia-testing & microchip. Our dog adoption fee is $175 and covers the sterilization, vaccines, deworming heartworm test (if age appropriate), and microchip.

A home visit and references will be performed. We are volunteers, so it could take 24 hours to return any email inquiry.
