Dirk's Story...
Dirk # 5131 is a 9-month-old-male, Chow mix. This young man is very sweet and is a real treat to be around. He is kennel trained and house broken. He is good around other dogs, loves to play. Doesn’t seem to mind cats but was not around them much. He loves to go out on a leash and walks very well. He has good manners, he can be a bit nippy to try to get attention and he does talk a bit. He would be best suited for an active family with no small children because his nipping to play may scare them. He weighs 46 pounds and is full grown. This pup is microchipped. We believe you can always teach an "old" dog new tricks so we highly recommend continued obedience training for this smart pup; it stimulates the dog's mind and establishes a good dog/adopter relationship. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption form, downloadable from our website: and return it per instructions. Email with questions. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dirk, a Waldorf Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chow Chow for sale in Waldorf, or seeking a Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Waldorf.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waldorf already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waldorf breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chow Chow breeders who help with Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waldorf paves the way for another one to be saved.
