I’m Delilah, nice to meet ya! I am still a bit shy with new people at first but I love to play with toys and other dogs. Being around other dogs helps me feel more confident, as I understand them better than people right now. Once I figure out that someone will be gentle with me, I warm right up! Because I am still working on getting used to new people, I don’t like to be picked up and cuddled close just yet. I will, however, almost always roll over for a nice belly rub if given the chance!

I’m already sleeping through the night and crate-trained (I also love my crate as a daytime napping spot). I know a couple of human words that I will heed if I know I will get a treat. I’m not crazy about being on a leash just yet because it means I can’t run and hide if I hear a loud noise that I’m unsure of. My foster mom is working on my confidence and I just know she will help me figure things out so that I feel safe all the time and ready to go on walks to explore the world like a puppy should.
