Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**Hi, my name is Bonez. I am a two year old male lab/rottie mix.
I’m a happy boy and love to play. I have a basket of toys and sometimes it’s hard to pick my favorite, but I can play catch all day.**
Bonez came from a neglected home, where he was left all for long periods, including days. Also he was very limited in training, and physically abused.
But since he has been with in his foster home, he can sit, stay, come (sometimes) and getting better and better every day walking on a leash (still pulls a bit).
He is house broken and can be left in the house on his own. But there might be an “accident” once in a while. He currently shares a home with a Bull Mastiff and they get along great….except she doesn’t always want to play. Bonez is a big puppy who is full of energy and still has some puppy tendencies. He is also neutered and all shots up to date.
He loves kids but sometimes doesn’t realize his size, so he needs to be supervised if they are young. He sees it as someone new to play with. Loves to walk, run and swim.
He is sensitive if you raise your voice or make a gesture with your hand. He will cower down. So you need to train and discipline with love and patience.
He sleeps on the floor or the dog bed at night, but pretty much lays in the hallway like he is guarding the family.
He is just starting to get affectionate and trusting. He is very smart and quick to learn.
He would be perfect for a family with kids and a yard to run in. Someone who has as much energy as he does.
Bonez is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Animal Rescue. The adoption donation is $375. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. Please fill out our Adoption Form if you are interested.
