Benji's Story...
Hello. My name is Benji. I am 11 weeks old and I weigh 20 lbs. (8/17/16) I was found as stray under an abandoned house. A very kind lady fostered me until room became available at the shelter. I am a very sweet boy and I am a little shy here. My caretakers are nice but this shelter life isn't for me and it's a little scary to me. You see, I am just a big baby really. Only 11 weeks old. I just need a kind soul to take me in and show me that everything is okay. If you'll give me a piece of your heart, I promise to give you all of mine. I'm living in McComb, Mississippi, but the good folks at Animal Rescue Front will bring me up north to you and the trip is included in the adoption fee. If you're interested in taking me into your forever home, please fill out the adoption form here:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Benji, a Groton German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Groton, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Groton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Groton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Groton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Groton paves the way for another one to be saved.
