My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Buddy! He is a 1.5 yr. old tan and white Dachshund/Jack Russell blend who weighs 13 lbs. He was rescued from a rural shelter that consisted of chain link kennels in the middle of a field in the sweltering heat by a Veterinarian who treated him for wounds on his back. It appears that Buddy narrowly escaped death when he was attacked by a hawk. Buddy remained at the Vet's office until 3R was able to take him. The Vet staff and the Doctor himself wrote this wonderful letter that the hope will get him adopted.

"Dear Buddy Adopter: This is a great little guy. Conducts himself as if he is already house trained. He was left in the office 4 nights in a row and not one accident. Buddy is a very affectionate dog who loves to play 'kissy face'. He loves people - VERY, VERY friendly. He is a very watchful guy who will let you know when a stranger is coming but doesn't bark just to bark." Per the veterinarian: "In my opinion he is a really good dog. With minimal effort he can easily be trained for any form of play. We enjoyed having him around and will miss him. We hope that he gets a great home because he certainly deserves better than what he had."

Buddy is a medium energy guy who loves to run around with toys and to be chased by his other canine friends. He rides great in the car and gets along with other dogs. He has been started in basic obedience school and is very smart. His adopters should plan to continue his training. The wounds on his back are healing nicely and he shows no pain or discomfort.

Won’t you consider Buddy as the next addition to your family?

He is neutered, micro-chipped, and up to date on all shots and started in basic obedience training. For more information go to www.3rrescue.org, email 3rrescue@gmail.com or phone 707-529-4643.
