Facts about Inez

  • Breed: Maine Coon
  • Color: Orange Or Red Tabby
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Long
Inez was found walking on top of the guardrail on the side of I95. She was emaciated and covered in fleas and ticks. There was evidence that at some point in her past life she had given birth, but no kittens were ever found. Inez likes other cats (but not active kittens) and people. She is a calm, quiet little girl with gorgeous long fur. She has a soft meow and loves attention. She was of course treated for the fleas and ticks, and her weight is now up to a healthy level. She is ready to shower her affections on her new home! We estimate her birthday to be about February 1, 2016. Inez appears to be a Maine Coon - Persian mix!

We have recently discovered that Inez has a bladder infection that must have been since she lost her babies. Because it has been developing for a while now, the bladder wall has thickened. She is now on medication for both the infection and to reduce inflammation of the bladder wall. This condition is very painful for Inez yet she continues to be sweet and loving! The reason we noticed the issue is because she started having accidents. When she does have an accident she acts very embarrassed. We are hoping that this will clear up quickly and completely, but any prospective homes should be aware and will be required to continue her medications for as long as she needs.

Inez is already spayed, tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV, has been dewormed, and is up to date with all her shots. She requires a home where she will never be declawed, or allowed to go outside. Very sweet and friendly!

About Shadow Cat Advocates

About Our Rescue Group...

Shadow Cat Advocates exists to provide assistance to all the abandoned and forgotten cats and kittens that live all around us. We are a 501c3 non-profit and all donations to our organization are deductible to the extent allowed by IRS laws. We have no office expenses, no salaries, and our volunteers all work for FREE and pay their own expenses. Without volunteers, our mission would be meaningless. We are looking for additional volunteers. Are you willing to foster a cat for a short period, become a caretaker, help trap, or assist in one of our fundraising event? Shoot us an email as any help you can offer will be met with a huge THANK YOU! Be sure to go to our web site to find out more about our organization:

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not have a “store front” as all fostering is done in a home environment. To schedule an appointment to visit the cats or kittens, please give us a call at (571) 408-9626.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption fees vary based on the veterinary care the cat has received prior to adoption. We will do a vet check to make sure the pet(s) you have currently or previously in your home have received adequate and yearly veterinary visits. A lifetime care contract and home visit are part of the adoption process.
