Crumbs's Story...
Meet Crumbs! This brindle sweetheart was found cowering in a far corner on DHA's property. We just couldn't send her away with how frightened she was. That being said, she is a little hand shy and super nervous around men. With females however, she is incredibly sweet and social. At just under 3-years-old, she loves feeling comfy and secure so she will likely be a big fan of snuggling! She would love a family that can be patient with her and help show her the way when it comes to new things. Being so unsure of some people and other animals, she would do best in a home without other dogs or cats at this time. She is easily encouraged with her favorite squeaky toys and super yummy treats. Won't you come in and see if you are a perfect match for this girly?

Crumbs is available and able to have applications submitted once you've met. For more information, please give us a call at (302) 571-0111 or visit us at our center (701 A Street Wilmington, DE) Tuesday-Friday 12-7pm or Saturday & Sunday 12-5pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Crumbs, a Wilmington Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
