Daniel's Story...
DANIEL is brother to DeeDee and Destiny who have already found a new home. Daniel would like to be traveling tonight on a plane or in a car and waving goodbye to the homeless life. He is the most outgoing of the three siblings. This handsome black and white male pup is one year old and he is probably a mix of Flat-Coated Retriever and Border Collie. He weighed 56 pounds at 8 months and we expect he will be a large dog once full grown. His siblings are thought to be sheep dog mixes. He has been vetted, vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. He tested negative for heartworm and has been on monthly heartworm and flea prevention since he was rescued. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Daniel if it means he will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help our 501(c)3 non-profit rescue to cover the cost of the veterinary care he has received.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daniel, a Union City Flat-Coated Retriever/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Flat-Coated Retriever/Border Collie for sale in Union City, or seeking a Flat-Coated Retriever/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Union City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Union City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Union City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Flat-Coated Retriever/Border Collie breeders who help with Flat-Coated Retriever/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Union City paves the way for another one to be saved.
