Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rollie came to us in April of this year. He has a unique story, and while we tried our best to keep him with his family, it's come time that we list him for adoption. Rollie's family was having housing issues and they decided to keep Rollie with a friend who did not keep a good eye on him and often left him outside unattended to. With only a partially fenced in yard, he found himself bored and decided to go on adventures. Rollie was picked up numerous times by animal control. When he wasn't reclaimed, we tried to work with the original family who explained what had happened. But after almost 4 months, the family has decided not to reclaim him. So, it's with a lot of heartfelt pain for Rollie, that we have decided to list him for adoption.
Rollie is approx 4 years old and his previous owners believe he is a Saint Bernard/Mastiff mix. He is a big solid boy, about 80lbs of pure sweetheart. Rollie has a calm demeanor and enjoys meandering through the yard and checking out the geese. He loves people and can forget how big he is as he rolls over against your leg so you can give him a belly rub. He does well on leash and has good manners. He does not seem to mind cats at all, just sniffs them and keeps on walking. In his previous life he lived with a several younger children and we are told he was very gentle with them. Rollie is a great dog and he enjoys a walk, but does not require one everyday. His energy level is probably best described as moderate.
