Arno was abandoned and left in a private dog shelter to live with 200 other dogs since he was only 5-month old. A volunteer felt sorry for him and decided to pull him out to find him a loving home to call his own.
Arno is mellow and laid-back inside the house. He enjoys his casual daily walks and gets along well with calm dogs. However, with no love and care in his 1.5 years of kennel life, Arno learned to be a survivor. He can be food aggressive toward other dogs because he needed to secure enough of food for himself when he was living in the kennel. He is currently living with other dogs at his foster family and the solution to this problem is to feed him in a separate place by himself to give him the sense of food security. Arno does not like plain dry food; a mixed meal of dry and canned food's is his favorite.
Arno is housebroken, he needs to go potty right after his meals. But occasionally, he has a little bit of excitement pee when the foster mom comes home. Arno is friendly with children and other dogs. But he is afraid of loud noises and gets a little nervous around strangers. With proper introduction and time, Arno can warm up to new people. Quieter family with grown children will be ideal for Arno.
