Tabitha's Story...
Meet Tabitha, with a twitch of her cute little black and white nose she will charm you. She's a typical playful kitten who romps around and loves to climb, the higher the better. She's extremely active but when she wears herself out, she likes to cuddle up in your lap for a nap. She will also sleep with you to keep you warm and toasty on these cold winter nights.

Although Tabitha likes other cats and would enjoy the company of a mellow cat, she would also be fine as an "only child" as long as someone is home during the day to play with her and give her attention.

You can meet Tabitha at Wilmette Pet Center, 625 Green Bay Road, anytime during store hours 7 days a week. (847-251-6750, www.wilmettepetcenter.com). Although you may want to adopt her on the spot, please know that you will have to go through the application process first.

Tabitha's estimated date of birth is 5/21/16 and her adoption fee of $135 includes her vet exam, FVRCP (distemper combo) vaccinations, rabies vaccination, FIV & Feline Leukemia testing (neg), routine deworming, flea control, microchip and spaying.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tabitha, a Mt. Prospect Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Mt. Prospect, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Mt. Prospect.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mt. Prospect already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mt. Prospect breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mt. Prospect paves the way for another one to be saved.
