Darrin's Story...
Meet Darrin, a very dapper kitten, all dressed up in his tuxedo and ready to join your family. He's a very sweet boy who purrs the moment you pick him up and will jump in your lap the minute you sit down. As with all kitten he loves a good session of play with his foster mom and fellow foster kitten.

Darrin would like to be adopted with his foster sister who he's become good buddies with, or another kitten for playtime and companionship. He would not be happy as the only cat in the home.

Starting 11/19/16, you can meet Darrin at Wilmette Pet, 625 Green Bay Road, anytime during store hours 7 days a week. (847-251-6750 www.wilmettepetcenter.com). Although you may want to adopt him on the spot, please know that you will have to go through the application process first.

His estimated date of birth is 5/28/16 and his adoption fee of $135 includes his vet exam, FVRCP vaccinations, FIV & Feline Leukemia testing (neg), routine deworming, flea control, microchip and neutering.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Darrin, a Mt. Prospect Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Mt. Prospect, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Mt. Prospect.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mt. Prospect already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mt. Prospect breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mt. Prospect paves the way for another one to be saved.
