Speedy's Story...
Better look quick or I may just run right past you. I’m Speedy – no, really, my name is Speedy. You may be thinking, “well, Speedy is quite the name for a senior citizen,” but let me assure you, I don’t look or act any 15 years of age! Sure, as an older girl, I can get annoyed by those young whipper-snapper cats at the FOHA communal cattery getting too close to my purr-sonal space, but I hold my own! I like to find a nice, quiet place to hang out and relax. If you come over to my special spot to see me, I’ll come over to get pets, then head on back “speedily” to my home base. Then it’s back to you for more pets! Back and forth I go, moving with rapid feline speed, knowing I have things to do, relaxation to accomplish! But I cannot say no to gentle pets – oh, especially pets to my cheeks! Oooh, I do so enjoy that! So hurry on over to FOHA to meet me – I’m Speedy, and I hope my adoptive family is speedy in finding me here at FOHA!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Speedy, a Aldie Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
