Shorty is a 15 month old chi/weenie. This guy is the most well adjusted dog we have ever had. He is so good at either playing with his canine friends, human or keeping himself entertained. Shorty would love to find a new forever home with both children and a canine friend to play with.
Shelter Pets is a small foster home based rescue. We are a 501c3 non-profit. We started a little over 3 years ago. In the last 3 years we have fostered, vetted and adopted out over 430 dogs and puppies. We feel that if we can save just one dog at a time, that is one less dog left to fend for itself. Our goal is to place as many of these unwanted dogs in new loving forever homes as possible.
Our Adoption Process...
All of our dogs are fully vetted and micro chipped when they are adopted. Our adoption fees are $125 for small breeds and $150 for large breed. When we are contacted about adopting one of our dogs we will do a phone interview. Our main requirement is that the new family has the abilty to keep the new fur baby safe from harm. Either a fenced yard to play in or willing to walk the dog during the day. We would also like to check vet references.
