Sir Dean's Story...
Sir Dean is one friendly boy. He happily walks up to strangers and tries to get some scratches on his adorable puffy cheeks. He’s a quiet cat, he likes attention but he’s very laid back and relaxed so he’s happy to lay down and take a nap too. Sometimes he’ll roll over on his side and start wiggling around, showing off his tummy. Sir Dean has the cutest orange fluffy fur, he should fluff out a little more now that he’s been rescued.

Sir Dean is still a young and playful kitty boy, he’ll chase his toys and pounce after a wand toy. Sir Dean was rescued as a stray behind a pizza place in West Virginia before coming to 4Paws to find his forever home. He was underweight and his fur was dirty, a nice bath and some food really helped Sir Dean. Sir Dean is hoping you’ll see what a cute cat he is and will fill out an application!

Sir Dean was born in August 2013. Sir Dean is on a prescription diet of Science Diet K/D, both canned & dry varieties, for healthy kidney function. He’s been neutered, micro-chipped, is up to date on all his shots, and tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sir Dean, a Merrifield Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Merrifield, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Merrifield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Merrifield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Merrifield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Merrifield paves the way for another one to be saved.
