Grace's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Grace's Story...
Grace is an alpha female. She is 4 years old and demands attention. She is a sweetheart but CANNOT live with cats... she wants to eat them. She came into rescue because her family is expanding and one of the adults had a big job change and she wasn't getting the attention she wanted or deserved. She will do okay with another docile dog but not with another alpha. She would probably prefer being an only dog so that she can have all of the attention.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Grace, a Columbia Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Columbia, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Columbia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbia paves the way for another one to be saved.
