Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, I'm Dora. They say I like to explore everything. Well, I am curious. Someone told me my ears are cute. I said everything about me is cute. I'm a southern gal, and happy to be here in the southwest. I like all these people who came to give us baths. I feel very good now. I guess I'll be having my no puppies surgery soon, just like my pals who I came here with. I can't wait because then I can go to Meet and Greets and get adopted. See you soon!
Dora is 4 years old and a recent transplant from the track in Alabama. Her small dog status is not yet known, but she is not cat tolerant. She does fine with kids, though.
Dora is a happy girl, who loves people, but doesn't mind going off on her own. Her tail never stops wagging.
FOSTER UPDATE:
Dora is a happy, friendly girl. She spends most of her time napping on a dog bed in the same room as her foster people. She hasn't climbed on the sofa yet, but we get the impression she'd like to be a lap dog.
Anytime we leave the room, Dora is close behind. She is a confident hound who loves exploring and watching what we're doing. Dora gets along with our male and female greyhounds and whippet. She hasn't interacted with them yet, but is starting to show a little interest when they are playing.
Dora is much more interested in us than the hounds. We think she would be fine as an only dog with someone who is home most of the time, or with other medium-to-large dogs. We crate her when we are gone for short periods. She isn't thrilled about going into the crate, but doesn't cry or engage in destructive behavior.
Dora is house trained using the dog door. She rides well in the car and walks well on a leash, after the initial excitement of going on a walk. She's a great little dog who will easily adjust to a new home.
