Ms. Soffie came to use after her 93 year old owner fell and was no longer able to live independently. She is an adorable AKC 7 year old, 13 pound, Shih Tzu. She had first been passed to a family member and than purchased by a concerned dog lover that felt that she was not being treated properly and then released to us. Poor baby, her life has been turned upside down.
She has settled into rescue after a rough couple of weeks. She was scared and unsure of where she was and what was happening. BUT no longer. Soffie loves her person, loves to snuggle, loves to go for her walks, LOVES to play and sleep in Bed. She sits up, high fives, is house trained, crate trained and gets along with other dogs and cats.
Soffie's adoption will require a fenced yard or fenced area that is large enough for her to play, run, chase a ball, etc. It must lead directly from the home. She will need to live with someone that is not gone a typical 8 hour work day; someone that works from home, works VERY part time or is retired. Soffie lived with a 90 plus year old woman so she is used to companionship. Although she has no problem when she is left, she deserves to be with someone that has a lot of time for her. Soffie would do best in a quiet home without children. She can live with another dog or be an only dog.
