Hobbs's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Hobbs's Story...
Hobbs is a 3 year old Golden Retriever/Chow mix. He can be a little shy with new people but warms up quickly. Hobbs walks great on a leash and loves to go for walks. He is super sweet with people. However, he is not a fan of cats and can be very picky with his doggie friends. Hobbs would probably do best in a quiet home with people who will allow him time to settle and prove what an awesome dog he truly is.

All animals at the shelter are fixed (spayed/neutered), fully vetted and micro-chipped before going home. Stop in to see him! The shelter is open Mondays/Wednesdays/Thursdays 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Fridays 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM, Saturdays 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM, and Sundays 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM. The shelter is closed for adoptions on Tuesdays.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hobbs, a Greensburg Golden Retriever/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Chow Chow for sale in Greensburg, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Greensburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greensburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greensburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Chow Chow breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greensburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
