Say hello to Charlie! Charlie is a two month old terrier mix, weighing in at a wee 2-3 lbs. This little guy is your typical happy-go-lucky pup and as you can see, quite the looker too! He's always the center of attention with those gorgeous green-blue eyes of his. We seriously cannot get enough of him and although not named after Charlie Chaplin, he may as well have been! This spunky ball of energy is constantly making all the volunteers laugh with his cute little antics. From accidentally diving head first into his water bucket to pouncing on toys, Charlie puts a smile on everyone's face. We are currently taking applications for Charlie, and he will be available for adoption once he has been neutered and received all of his vaccines. This sweetheart will make the perfect addition to any family. If you are interested in adopting Charlie, please email for an application.

Southern California adopters only.

About H.E.L.P. (A Home for Every Living Pet)

About Our Rescue Group...

Thousands of animals are euthanized each year in the Los Angeles City Shelters. This staggering figure doesn'’t even include all other surrounding LA County shelters. What is more shocking is that most of these animals were highly adoptable. A great number of these animals have something in common: they have medical conditions such as broken legs, tumors, eye problems or malformations. These animals have been hit by cars, acquired kennel cough in shelters or they are abandoned mothers with litters of unweaned puppies.

For these animals, their fate in the shelter is an almost certain death sentence. H.E.L.P also assists individuals who are interested in an animal at the shelter, but are discouraged by the potential high veterinary costs. We also assist individuals who adopt from the shelters and discover that their animal has a medical condition subsequent to adoption. We arrange for the animal to receive veterinary care and offer financial assistance to the adopter. The funds that H.E.L.P. has raised are used to pay for the medical costs. If the adopter has already arranged for the animal to receive medical care, we reimburse the costs upon receipt of the veterinary bill. We also offer the adopter the choice to let us adopt the animal or assist in finding it a new home; rather than see it go back to the shelter where the chance that it will be euthanized is extremely high.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We show our adoptable animals at Petco every Saturday from 11 AM - 3 PM. Petco is located at 852 N Western Ave, San Pedro, CA 90732.

Our Adoption Process...

Each potential adopter of any animal is required to go through an adoption process that includes an application, contract and interview with one or more of our members. We make sure the potential adopter is aware of the medical, training and social needs of the animal; whether it is a growing puppy or an older animal. If the individual is approved, we will perform a home check to make sure that animal is going to a safe and good environment. The adopter agrees to return the animal to us at any point during their lifetime if they intend to give it up. We are committed to finding these animals great homes and screen our applicants very carefully.
