Hazel's Story...
ABOUT HAZEL THE AMERICAN BULLY
This sweet piglet has been in more RI shelters than she can count. Hazel is back at the Warwick shelter after a relative realized that her wonderful senior owner could no longer care for her the way he once could.

Hazel is a tri-color smut American Bully. She has a sparkling personality with a swagger to match.

Last time she was homeless she was a participant in Handsome Dan's Rescue Shelter Dog Enrichment Program. Our commitment to dogs in that program includes placing them at the top of our waiting list should they find themselves back at a shelter. So we went to reevaluate her and found the same wonderful girl as before. Hazel has been matched to Enrichment Specialist, Bridget.

We brought Hazel this little blue bear along with the supplies she needs for our program. She took the bear right away and held him the entire time. So cute!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hazel, a Cranston Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Cranston, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Cranston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cranston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cranston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cranston paves the way for another one to be saved.
