Pete's Story...
Hello everyone my name is Pete. I love to play in the backyard with my foster sisters and brother. I am crate trained, and I have learned to only potty outside. I get along well with all dogs and love to share all my toys. I can play for hours or take naps with my foster mom. I am still learning to walk on the leash. I'm a little skittish on walks but we are working on it and I make progress everyday. Rolling around in the grass with a squeaky toy is the best thing ever! I can't wait to get a family of my own so I can show them how amazing my spunky personality is!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pete, a Austin Jack Russell Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Austin, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier puppy from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
