My name is Sam 2. I am a sweet, friendly 3 to 4 year old, black n white tri-colored cocker boy. A girl cocker named Mocha and I came to rescue from an owner who badly, neglected our vet needs, was unable to care for us financially and animal control was going to step in to get us. She quickly asked for rescue help to get us before they could come to pick us up. The CCR rescue van drove to SC to get us. Just before the rescue lady arrived, our owner shaved us down and gave us both a quick bath. We looked a bit better but both of us were still covered with fleas. We were taken directly to the rescue vet where they checked me over and found that I have had chronic neglected ears for quite some time and they were in awful shape. Several medicines are needed to treat them and I had to be treated for a fleas too, even though I had had a bath from my owner. Il needed a dental, cherry eye tacking and neuter. I was treated for hookworms, and an ear infection. I tested as strong heartworm positive and needed treatment to get well. These nice rescue people took both of us in and have done treatment to help with our health issues. I will need a secure fenced yard and you will always need to keep me on a leash, as I am a runner if given the opportunity to get away from you.
Please, Please donate to help with my care until I can be adopted......these nice rescue people are trying to help me have a better, brighter future and a 2nd chance to have a loving home where I can be cared for properly, loved and appreciated. Your kindness of any amount that you can give is greatly appreciated. Send in a donation to: CCR, P.O. Box 1050, Kannapolis, NC 28081 or you can call the vet directly and tell them that you want to donate to Donna Carpenter's rescue account: Cabarrus Animal Hospital at: 704-786-6102.
