Here's what the humans have to say about me:
EMMA is a 1.5 year old spayed black female Lab who weighs 38 pounds. A very pregnant Emma was abandoned by her owner along with three other dogs and two puppies. Emma gave birth in the shelter on July 3rd. Seven of her ten puppies were stillborn most likely due to her lack of care. The three surviving puppies (Emmitt, Ella, and Erin) were well cared for by Emma and the shelter volunteers and they are little chunkers!! Emma was terrified when she first came to the shelter but now snuggles up to people and falls over for belly rubs. Emma is a great mommy, keeping her babies meticulously clean :). Emma is good with other dogs. From the transporter: Emma is a very sweet, gentle, and quiet dog. She is a bit shy at first but warms up quickly. She traveled in the crate with her puppies and was very good. She did a great job cleaning and taking care of her babies. Such a good mommy!! She is approved for kids 10+. More info soon!
Update: Emma is a very sweet girl, loves to give kisses and get belly rubs. She is not used to a leash, so a fenced yard would be preferable. She is house trained. Most things are new to Emma, she loves to play with her pups, but she really doesn't understand toys. It will be fun to watch her start figuring out that toys can be fun things! She keeps the yard squirrel free. Her pups have all gone home now, so Emma is ready for a family of her own!
