Gretl's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, and not good with cats.

Gretl's Story...
My name is Gretl! I'm from Hogwarts' prestigious Hufflepuff house. My tortoiseshell colors even match my house colors.

Like a true Hufflepuff, I am kind and love all humans. My favorite activity is purring. I may not greet a new human right away, but after only 1 minute I'm coming to say hi.

I don't get along with my foster mom's cats, so I might be best as an only kitty. I make up for it by having so much to love!

I am a rare kitty that loves to flop over on my side and let my human friends pet my soft belly. I love to play with laser pointers and feathers. I am also an excellent cuddler, purring the whole time, of course.

As an adult kitty of 5 years, I have outgrown Hogwarts and the Hufflepuff house and am looking for a new forever home.

Approx DOB 7/21/11

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gretl, a St. Louis Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in St. Louis, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in St. Louis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Louis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Louis paves the way for another one to be saved.
