Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Miss Nyla, a beautiful 2 year old tiger beauty, with white paws and bib. When Nyla first arrived to the shelter, she was terrified and not accepting of human interaction at all. Someone must have failed this sweet girl in her not so distant past, and she was afraid to even show us her face, hiding in a little kitty dome for the first month or so of her stay with us. Members of our Special Needs Team have worked with Miss Nyla almost daily, and slowly she started coming out of her shell and realizing that she could trust humans. She will play with toys when you interact with her, she loves treats, but most of all, she just loves to be loved, and absolutely adores full body petting and scratches. She can be a little shy when she is first approached, and is not totally comfortable with being picked up just yet, but with patience and a soft and slow approach, she will become more and more comfortable with this. We feel Nyla is ready to find her own cat savvy home. She will need some time to adjust to her new surroundings, and would do best in a stable, quiet home with no dogs or young children. With slow and proper introduction, we expect she will do well in a home with most any cat.
Couldyou be the cat savvy person that Nyla is looking for? Please stop by the shelter to meet this beautiful girl. We are open Mon/Fri 12-4, Tues/Thurs 12-4 and 6-8, Sat 10-4, Sun 12-3.
