Cocoa's Info...

I am up to date with shots, good with kids, and not good with dogs.

Cocoa's Story...
We transferred Cocoa into our care from a different shelter and thought for sure she would get a home immediately! However, Cocoa is still waiting so we're hoping someone will see this beautiful face and want to come meet her! Cocoa is great with people and has met children around the age of 10 before. She is reactive with dogs and will be best as an only pet. But don't let that dissuade you, that is her only "flaw" and we know there are plenty of families out there who only want one dog at a time anyways! Come meet Cocoa anytime we are open and call 804-991-3200 if you have any questions!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cocoa, a Prince George Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Prince George, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Prince George.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Prince George already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Prince George breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Prince George paves the way for another one to be saved.
