Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Biggles is not quite 5 months old and has already been through so much. He has handled everything this life has thrown at him with calm, good humor. He has earned the dignified title of Mr. Biggles! BARC called HBHR when this little guy was brought to their shelter with a broken leg. Then within a week of getting his splint on the leg, he developed symptoms of Parvo. He is a survivor! He bounced back and within days was climbing in and out the dog door dragging his splint behind him. He is currently weighing 12 pounds and is still growing.
Mr. Biggles is all the things you want in a puppy. Funny, energetic, loving, playful, but best of all, he is smart! As soon as he had the dog door worked out (and it was not easy for a runt dragging a splint around), this boy was house broken. His last accident was when he had diarrhea from Parvo and even then he was trying to get outside! His house manners are pretty impressive, but his foster home has lots of chew toys and other young beagles to gnaw on, so he has never been tempted!
Mr. Biggles is a playing machine, who does not know that he is small. He gets bowled over on a regular basis through out the day and just bounces up and chases after the big boys for more! I caught two of the older members of the ‘brat pack’ trying to play tug of war with this little guy. One had his head and the other had a leg when I caught them. Biggles wasn’t even yelling in fear!
Mr. Biggles has a sweet, cuddly side and like all puppies, he does know the benefits of a good nap. This boy loves to cuddle up next to you when he is sleeping. I admit that I have spoiled him by allowing him to sleep on the big bed at night. My reward is that he goes outside on his own when he has to go to the bathroom. My punishment is that when he has finished his business and checked out the yard, he likes to come back in and jump on your head to tell you that it is time to get up! At his age, he really does not know the difference between 5 am and 7am!
Mr. Biggles deserves the best. He needs a home that has experience with beagles and has at least one other playful dog for him to spend his days with. Apply today if you want a chance to adopt this wonderful little man!
