My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Weenie alert! Wiener (my kids named him) is a 12 week old dachshund mix who is an absolute love. He is VERY happy and VERY playful. He started out his life stuck in a baby playpen at his previous owners with very little interaction. His owner was sick and couldn't care for him correctly so a concerned citizen removed him from the home after a long talk with the owner, and he found his way to us! So he is a little shy in loud/outdoor situations but he warms up. Wiener loves everyone, kids, adults and other dogs. He is learning to walk on a leash and uses puppy pads. Hasn't quite figured out that outside=potty, but he's good about the pads. You wouldn't, either, if you lived in a playpen until 2 weeks ago. :( He has been vaccinated, wormed and flea treated and his adoption fee of $200 includes a prepaid voucher for his chip and neuter when age appropriate. On by One Pet Rescue is a 501c3 non profit Flower Mound based rescue. We require a house with a yard, where he will be an inside dog and won't be left alone all day during the work week.
