Darcy's Story...
***This is a courtesy posting. The Humane Society of Wilkes is not responsible for the health or temperament of this pet.*** Born in February of 2015, Darcy is a lab or pit mix. She’s the perfect size at about 35lbs full grown. Darcy’s mom has had some changes in her work schedule and feels that she can’t give her enough attention. Darcy is spayed and up to date on her rabies. She has been around dogs without issues and one cat which frightened her more than anything. She’s great with people but she needs work on jumping and chewing. These things are easily worked out with exercise and attention which is why Darcy is needing a new home. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Darcy, a North Wilkesboro Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in North Wilkesboro, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in North Wilkesboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Wilkesboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Wilkesboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Wilkesboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
