Cookie's Story...
Cookie was on the streets of Covington and dropped in to a good Samaritans home and had her 4 kittens and then she came into our rescue from there. She was a great mother and is a super lovable kitty. She does want to bolt out the door so beware of that. She doesn't seem to go to far but super curious of the outdoors. Very fond of canned food and loves to roll on her back and show you her belly! Cookie is approx. 1 year old.
All of our cats and kittens are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, up to date on shots, combo tested negative for FIV/Leukemia and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cookie, a Covington Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Covington, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Covington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Covington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Covington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Covington paves the way for another one to be saved.
