Abby turned 1 year old on August 10, 2016. She is big for an Abyssinian, and what an absolute Abby-Tabby cutie! From her perky Abyssinian ears and golden eyes to the tip of her beautiful tail, Abby is an adorable classic-ticked Abyssinian mix. Abby was found calmly sitting alone on a levee in West Sacramento at nightfall watching the world go by. A local home owner scooped her up and tried to find her owner with no success. So Abby went to Rescue and began her journey to find her own family and perfect forever home.
Abby is a smart, inquisitive, active girl. She has an Abyssinian personality, so she is wise beyond her years, playful, curious, intelligent, loves high places, and is very social. Like all Abyssinians, she is pride (family) oriented. She thrives on the activity and attention that only a family of people and cats can provide. She does not do well as a solo cat. If there is no animal companionship to play and cuddle with, she can become timid and unsure. That is the way Abyssinians are.
Abby has been fostered with all ages and types of cats and kittens. She is respectful of the resident cat, organizes the younger cats in to play groups, and teaches the kittens how to play. She absolutely avoids any cat conflict! Her perfect day is eat, play, cuddle with cats and with people in any order, and sleep and do it again. She also enjoys lazy afternoons sleeping with her cat friends, or curled up next to you watching what you do, or on your lap. She has a huge purr and is not afraid to use it!
Abby also has been fostered with children 9-12 years old, and cat-friendly dogs. Her litter box habits are perfect. She is clean and neat. She appreciates any toy you provide. She could be a world champion at Trak-Ball. She always uses the scratching post and knows the word NO.
Abby is spayed, up to date on vaccines, FELV/FIV negative, dewormed, microchipped, and with flea prevention applied. Her health has always been perfect.
Abby’s foster mom is Diane in Sacramento, CA. If you are interested in completing your pride with this gorgeous girl, please submit an application at Adoption Application.
