King's Story...
THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING. ADR is not responsible for the health, temperament, behavior or placement of this dog. Listings are done at the request of the dog's owner and as an outreach and community service in hopes of finding these dogs a loving, stable forever home. Placement decisions are made solely at the discretion of the owner, and not Austin Dog Rescue. Owners are required to ask for an adoption fee from adopters.

This is the information that we received from King's current family:

King is from Austin Animal Center, and we have been fostering him for about a month now.

He is a young Pit Bull that is very friendly, great with kids and with other dogs. I took him to a dog park in the neighborhood, and he would run around and play with other dogs. The only problems came when he tried to play with smaller dogs, and the smaller dogs would get scared. I don't know about cats since we don't have any around the house. He is great with children. We had a baby in the house, and he would give her kisses all the time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

King, a Austin Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Austin, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
