Maizy's Story...
Meet Maizy!
Maizy is a 2 to 3 year old pitbull type dog. She is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.
In the short time that she has been with us she has really started to come out of her shell and getting to know her is a blast.
Maizy loves her kiddie pool and is often seen splashing around in it, sometimes bringing her toys in with her. Every now and then she’ll lie on her belly in her pool and raise her head just above the water, making herself look like a little brown hippo. Maizy LOVES her toys and is learning that it’s ok to drop a toy when a person asks her to, as well as learning to walk on a leash and other doggy manners.
Maizy was found running loose so her background before coming to the shelter is unknown but we feel she would do best with adopters who are experienced dog owners and want to help Maizy continue to come out of her shell and continue to learn that people can be trusted.
Maizy’s adopters will receive two free post-adoption training sessions with a professional trainer to help Maizy with her doggy manners and acclimate to her new life.
Come meet and fall in love with Maizy!!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maizy, a North Kingstown Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in North Kingstown, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in North Kingstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Kingstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Kingstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Kingstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
