Tucker's Story...
Hello friends, I’m Tucker, a 3 year old, 64 pound boy. I somehow wound up in a shelter and was feeling pretty lonely until AGB took me in. I’m well behaved in cars and I am loving and gentle. Whoever had me before did not give me the medicine I needed and those nasty old mosquitos got to me! Now I have heart worms. But I've never lost my friendly smile or my wagging tail. My friends at AGB said they are going to get me well and find me a forever family. I am really happy to hear that because I love people and can’t wait to be in a comfy, loving home. If you want to add a handsome red head to your family, please apply to adopt on AGB’s website and ask to get together with me, Tucker.
PS…AGB has set up a special fund for my medical care and I would really appreciate any amount you can give to help with my vet bills. Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tucker, a BIRMINGHAM Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in BIRMINGHAM, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in BIRMINGHAM.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in BIRMINGHAM already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a BIRMINGHAM breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in BIRMINGHAM paves the way for another one to be saved.
