Luke's Story...
Greetings! If we aren't friends yet, it's only because we haven't met. Making new friends is one of my favorite things. Even though I'm still a puppy, I already have nice manners and I'm very respectful. I walk well on leash and will check in with you. And, I already know "sit" and will happily do so if you ask. Guess what else? I am already housebroken! I know, I am pretty amazing. With my sweet and gentle nature, I am destined to be a great family companion. Now all I need is a family. I can promise that if you take me home, you will be rewarded with snuggles, soft nuzzles, tail wags, and loving devotion. Doesn't that sound nice? Let me tell you a secret: my favorite way of being pet is a nice chest scratch! Scratch my chest and watch my leg thump with delight as I melt into you. Luckily I have a white patch on my chest to show you just where to scratch! When I'm not busy receiving affection, I am an active guy that likes to play with toys, go for long walks/runs, and play games of tag with people. Do you have other furry friends at home? If you do, just talk to the staff about scheduling a play date. Meeting new canines can make me a little nervous. Therefore I would do best with patient and understanding canine companion. If you think I'm the guy your family has been looking for, don't wait to come get to know me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Luke, a Harrisonburg Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
