Cocoa's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Cocoa's Story...
3 years old, 53 pounds. Cocoa is sweet, smart and very social. She loves everyone she meets and is gentle with kids. She isn't a jumper and sits for pets and treats. Sometimes she can be a little shy if I move too fast towards her she will duck or run but she has never shown any aggression at all. She gets along well with all the other dogs at the kennel house, small to large, and she walks on a leash well. She does get on the furniture but could be trained not too. Her last home allowed it.

History: Cocoa was with a family who had 2 children. She was great with them and even would sleep outside the daughters room each night in the hallway sort of watching over her. Half of the family ended up leaving their home situation due to domestic violence and had to give up their dog. :(

All dogs are fully vaccinated, microchipped, spayed/neutered and Heartworm negative unless otherwise noted. We require an adoption application, home visit and adoption fee of $200 ($150 for senior). You also get a two week trial period with all of our dogs. To apply, simply go to

Many of our dogs are in foster homes all over Atlanta, thus an application is required before an appointment can be set to meet a dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cocoa, a Acworth American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Acworth, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Acworth.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Acworth already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Acworth breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Acworth paves the way for another one to be saved.
