Bandit's Story...
5 years old, 52 pounds. Bandit loves life and everyone he meets. He is a rather happy, exuberant boy, true to his breed. He is highly intelligent, listens well and is housebroken. He does need some leash training b/c he is a little bouncy. He sits and shakes on command. He goes in his crate when told but he truly does not need one. He has never been big on toys but love a good chew bone. He loves to chase the other dogs when they chase toys but he is oblivious to the reason they are running. LOL He is just a sweet goofball who need someone to love him.

History: Bandits owner went to jail, leaving 9 dogs alone in a house. They were there for two weeks before they were found. She has left water and food down but the conditions were horrible. She had raised him from puppyhood. His only outside time was a on chain until we got him and boy does he love to run.

All dogs are fully vaccinated, microchipped, spayed/neutered and Heartworm negative unless otherwise noted. We require an adoption application, home visit and adoption fee of $200 ($150 for senior). You also get a two week trial period with all of our dogs. To apply, simply go to www.forgottenpaws.com.

Many of our dogs are in foster homes all over Atlanta, thus an application is required before an appointment can be set to meet a dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bandit, a Acworth Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Acworth, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Acworth.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Acworth already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Acworth breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Acworth paves the way for another one to be saved.
