Ahern's Story...
NAME: Ahern
GENDER: Male
BREED: Lab. mix
COLOR: Black
AGE: 4 months
WEIGHT: 16 Lbs

Ahern is a playful and friendly puppy! He behaves well around people and young children. He gets along with other dogs as well as cats.

Ahern is a sweet puppy boy with great temperament. He is lively, cheerful, energetic, but very mellow; he is loved by everyone who meets him. Ahern will grow up to be a wonderful companion for any type of family.

Ahern's story:
Ahern and his sister Alana were adopted as puppies by a senior couple to keep them company. The four of them had some good time together. The couple did their best to give the two puppies plenty of exercises every day. They would take walks with them, or run them in the dog park and meet doggie friends. But not for long, the husband started to have difficulty walking and was diagnosed of lumbar disc herniation. Besides, taking care of two growing and active puppies proved more than the wife alone can handle. To find new homes for the two puppies becomes their last resort.

Ahern is a good looking and healthy puppy boy. All he needs is a home to love and care for him, and enjoy his companionship. Will you let Ahern become a member of your family? Ahern is patiently waiting.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ahern, a Castro Valley Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Castro Valley, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Castro Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Castro Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Castro Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Castro Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
