Rita's Story...
Rita is an adorable 3 month old Austrailan mix working dog. She and her siblings are growing fast and are now ready for homes. Rita has been altered and updated on shots. She loves the country.....running and playing on the farm is something rita loves and she shows much potential to be a loyal working dog. Rita plays well with her siblings but also loves to be by your side when you are doing chores. Smart just like most cattle dogs are, she will not disappoint you. Rita will do well as a family dog.She is social and has been raised with children and other family pets. Ritas adoption fee is $250 and that goes directly back to rescuing another dog in need. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rita, a Bakersfield Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog for sale in Bakersfield, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog puppy from a breeder in Bakersfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bakersfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bakersfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bakersfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
