This is Zoe (HWTH#16290A). She is a Pointer mix, DOB: 7/13/13 (her sibling is Pudding). Zoe weighs approximately 40 pounds and stands 19 inches at the shoulders. They were abandoned on their owner's door step approximately 3 years ago and were fed but mostly kept in a small pen and given no affection, training or socialization. They have been relinquished to Halfway to Home so both dogs can find the loving Forever homes they deserve. Both dogs are starved for affection and have no real life experiences so will need to have an owner willing to give them the love and affection they crave and the life experiences they need. Zoe is the most active of the two dogs. She is high-energy and will need to have a good deal of exercise and playtime to calm her rambunctious nature. She loves to give small kisses and has a submissive side to her personality. When Zoe is thoroughly settled into her new Forever home, she will benefit from positive basic obedience training to help with leash training and the bonding process. Zoe is good with other dogs but may be a little too rambunctious for small dogs and should be introduced slowly. With lots of love and some training, Zoe will make a wonderful canine companion. She is crate trained. For more information on Zoe, please contact Suzanne at tele # 661-824-4495.

About Halfway to Home

About Our Rescue Group...

Halfway To Home was formed in 2001 due to the need in the Antelope Valley to rescue the many homeless, helpless pets. We have animals from individuals who have to give up pets, and from animal shelters that have darling individuals who need to be spared euthanasia. There are puppies coming from individuals who did not spay and neuter in a timely manner. Your tax deductible donations can be mailed to P.O. Box 512 Rosamond, CA 93560 or you can visit us on our web site at and make a donation through PayPal.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Come and see us every Saturday & Sunday, rain or shine from 1 to 5 PM at the Westside Palmdale Petsmart, located on 10th Street West, next to Trader Joe's, just south of Rancho Vista Blvd (Avenue P).

We are in need of volunteers to help out at our pet adoptions at PetSmart in west Palmdale on Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm to 5pm. If interested, please visit us during our adoption hours at the west Palmdale PetSmart or call Suzanne at 661-824-4495.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption procedure includes an application to make sure the dog and the people will be a good match, an adoption fee to cover the cost for shots, spaying or neutering, and a home check. Halfway to Home dogs are adopted out to be part of the family, and many of them are housetrained, if not, we ask that you are willing to undertake that task. Our dogs are intended to be indoor/outdoor family members. Doggie doors are a plus.
