Akita's Story...
M16-186 Akita
My name is Akita, and unlike my calico sisters, Kloey and Echo, I'm a true tortie, which I think is very beautiful, with lots of orange and light highlights in my beautiful black coat. Note the small white beauty mark left of my nose and my fashionable off the shoulder white boa collar. Torties are beautiful, subtle, and mysterious, and that's me! We were born last spring to an outside mom on a farm where our mom had lived for some time. The farmer was getting sick, so he wanted us to have a safe haven. He asked Magicats to help us make new lives. We've been in foster care, along with Mom and her new babies, and we older girls are learning to be INSIDE ONLY human companions. It's different, but fun, and I am getting less shy every day. I'm spayed, done with my shots, and negative for FIV/FELV. I'm not quite ready for PetSmart yet, but my foster mom would like me to meet someone who loves torties and can help me complete my education and be a Forever Best Friend. If that's you, we should definitely talk. My foster mom will make the arrangements. I can hardly wait to meet you! Why Adoption is a Great Option

Akita, a Buhl Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Buhl, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Buhl.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Buhl already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Buhl breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Buhl paves the way for another one to be saved.
