My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bentley was returned to us after being adopted three years ago! His loving family lost their house to foreclosure, and were forced to move to town and rent a tiny apartment. Bentley was accustomed to country life; he soon started showing signs of stress and anxiety....he had no yard to run in, and very little opportunities for exercise in his new environment. His family knew this wasn't a good life for their beloved Bentley, and returned him to our shelter to try to find a happier home for him. Bentley had been hit by a car as a puppy, four years ago, and we had to ask our vet to amputate his rear left leg. But Bentley went through the ordeal like a champ, and runs and plays with the other dogs here at our shelter, without any idea that he is "different!" Bentley is easy-going, calm, quiet and well-behaved. He is house trained, adores children, and is congenial with all our other dogs!
