Lace's Info...

I am already spayed, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Lace's Story...
Lace is an adorable 3 month old Lab-Shepherd mix girl, so friendly and alert, extremely playful. She was at a local shelter with a badly broken elbow. Their only option was amputation, so we took her in and had her seen by an orthopedic surgeon in Columbus, who was able to save the leg! Little Lacy had surgery 8/26/2016 with pins, screws and plates and soon will run like the wind again! Looking for a loving home, after the 6 week recovery period and she is fully healed. We are working on fundraising, as the cost of the surgery is $2500. You can donate on line thru Petfinder, or thru www.YouCaring.com (put in "Letting Lace Run Free") She is great with other dogs, cats, and kids. She weighs about 20 lbs now, so probably will be Lab sized as an adult. ~~ NOTE: We require a securely fenced yard for all dog adoptions, especially young dogs of active breeds. No shock collar based "invisible" systems.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lace, a Mount Gilead Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Mount Gilead, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Mount Gilead.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mount Gilead already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mount Gilead breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mount Gilead paves the way for another one to be saved.
